It's just a theory...

It's hard to talk about science without understanding that some words, when used in science, have a very different meaning when compared to common usage. Theory, Law and fact are just some examples. It's like going to England and finding out that fish and "Chips" are more akin to fish and steak fries. Or in Australia you'd call a friend your "mate". You're speaking the same language, but with very different meanings. The following videos do a decent job of clarifying some of these differences.
