Charles Darwin wasn't exactly the founder of Evolutionary ideas, but he was the first to pull together Data to prove them and his Theory of Natural Selection. The main point is that Darwin published his work.

Darwin's first example of evolution is his book On the Origin of Species looked to the pigeon as evidence.
