Using the Metric System

Today we started practicing using the metric system by doing 8 practice problems in class. In several of the problems we used the chart below to know what direction and distance to move the decimal point when switching metric units.

I made an example video with very similar questions. The numbers have been changed so the answers are different, but you'll be doing the same steps to find the answers.

The metric system prefixes are exceptionally helpful in describing the modern size of data, as It's Okay to be Smart asks "Is big data getting too big?"
