Gene editing with CRISPR

Humans have been working with genes ever since we started farming, then we had to just work with the random mutations nature provided, but recently we've been able to create these mutants ourselves. A new technology CRISPR Cas9, might let use do so much more precisely.

While an amazing tool for creating modifications to our crops and other organisms, CISPR may not work well enough for human use.

Whether or not you think we should edit human genes, it's already happened. A researcher in China did so to prevent babies from getting AIDS from their father. So now what?
