The Chemistry of Life

After we finish watching the Challenges of Life, we're going to work on Chapter 2 Section 3 (Slide 3 questions 11-17). This section takes a basic look at the chemistry of life. We'll go into much more detail in Chapters 3 & 4. The Amoeba Sisters do a great job explaining some of these biomolecules.

The goal of all of the chemistry is to maintain HOMEOSTASIS inside the cells of living organisms. That means all of the work is to keep conditions the same inside the cell though the world outside is constantly changing.
